When packaging is designed years before it ships, a rule that lands mid-cycle can strand it — and the EU's PPWR is already applying from August 12, 2026, with harmonized recyclability grading and eco-modulated EPR fees phasing in through 2029, recycled-content minimums from 2030, and grade-based market access tightening to 2038, while US state EPR laws in Oregon, California, Colorado, Maine, and Minnesota run their own timelines. Big brands have regulatory-affairs teams watching all of it; small brands find out when the fee invoice or delisting notice arrives.

What to build
Build an AI-powered solution that keeps a small brand's packaging ahead of the regulatory wave instead of stranded by it.
A consultant's one-time memo or a big brand's regulatory-affairs team still doesn't exist for a small brand designing packaging years ahead. The gap is a living roadmap: which rules apply to this packaging, in which markets, on what timelines — the EU PPWR phases and the US state EPR laws — so decisions anticipate the rules at launch, not the ones that applied at design time.
How to build

Day 1
Pick the smallest experience that helps someone keep packaging ahead of the regulatory wave. The goal is to make one of those experiences work well, not to solve every part of the problem at once.
Pick your angle
Day 2
Choose the simplest format that fits the experience and audience. Build only what you need to test whether the idea works, people can use it, or the system can deliver.
