When repair shops, take-back schemes, and resale channels are too fragmented to find, broken electronics pile up in drawers, reusable clothes and materials go to the curb, and throwing things away stays the easiest option — feeding the 60+ million tonnes of e-waste a year, less than a quarter of it properly recycled.

What to build
Build an AI-powered solution that makes repairing or rehoming an item easier than throwing it away.
A static directory of recyclers or a search that returns dead links and closed shops still sends people to the curb. The gap is a confirmed, practical route: a working repair cafe, a certified recycler, a take-back program, or a resale channel for this exact item and location — without wasted trips.
How to build

Day 1
Pick the smallest experience that helps someone repair or rehome an item instead of throwing it away. The goal is to make one of those experiences work well, not to solve every part of the problem at once.
Pick your angle
Day 2
Choose the simplest format that fits the experience and audience. Build only what you need to test whether the idea works, people can use it, or the system can deliver.
